I am a Ph.D. student in Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) advised by Dr. Upal Ghosh.

My current research focuses on the development and optimization of passive sampling methods for measuring hydrophobic organic compounds, particularly polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in surface water and sediment porewater measurements.

I am passionate about storytelling through writing, art and short films. I am always looking for scientific writing and visual communication opportunities in my field.

Research Interests

  • Passive sampling

  • Use of performance reference compounds to determine bioavailablity of hydrophobic contaminants in environmental media

  • Mass-transfer modeling of fate and transport of organic contaminants in the environment

  • Performance monitoring of innovative environmental remediation technologies

  • Environmental risk assessment

  • Scientific writing and mass media science communication
